Hours: 37.0 Hours per Week We are looking for an Accountant to join our Financial Operations Division to work within the Adult Care & Support Finance Team. The Financial Operations Division are proud of our proven track record of delivering an excellent service. Adult Care & Support Finance Team The Adult Care & Support Finance Team supports the directorate to enable people to stay as independent and well as possible for as long as possible so that when people do need long term support, this is timely, proportionate, responsive, and good quality and enables people to continue to live their lives the way they want to. You will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of younger adults and older people within Solihull. This is a great opportunity to work within a high performing team and share best practice, including learning and development and potential future rotation opportunities for the successful candidate. In this role you will work closely with service managers providing strategic advice to support them in managing their budgets and delivering savings targets. You will: Act as the finance lead in the delivery of specific projects and programmes. Provide professional financial advice to Senior Managers and Budget holders. Develop procedures and processes to improve performance. Experience of working in a professional finance environment and financial management and accounting skills. including preparing budgets, monitoring, forecasting, analysing and reconciling complex data will be critical for this role. As a fully qualified accountant, you will also possess 5 GCSEs including Maths and English Language AC or 4-9 (or equivalent level 2 qualification) and have current membership of CCAB or CIPFA.
