Location: Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, NR4 7YU. Salary: £24,461.58 pro rata per annum plus benefits. Shifts available:
* Shift 1 - Saturday – Sunday 07:30 – 13:30 (5 hours, 10 hours per week)
* Shift 2 - Saturday – Sunday 13:00 – 18:30 (5.5 hours, 11 hours per week)
About Serco and the Hospital: Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital serves the region with a focus on patient care, research and training, in partnership with the University of East Anglia.
Responsibilities
* Provide an effective and professional Reception service; greet visitors and guide them to requested locations.
* Wear correct uniform and PPE at all times.
* Comply with company policies and procedures and adapt to operational changes.
* Maintain records and ensure paperwork aligns with Health and Safety, Quality, Serco and Trust policies.
* Participate as a full team member, including training and flexible cover as required.
* Undertake ad hoc duties as prescribed by the line manager.
* Handle face-to-face inquiries from visitors, patients and staff; answer internal and external calls and take messages as needed.
* Process personal data in accordance with GDPR and internal data protection policies.
* Report Health and Safety hazards and keep reception areas clean and tidy.
* Log and secure lost property until handed over and signed for.
* Coordinate passes, pharmacy drops, patient transport (e.g., taxis) and maintain relevant records.
* Be trained in emergency procedures and disseminate information leaflets as required.
* Issue Patient Experience Surveys as required and support reception-related administration and building management functions.
What you’ll need to do the role
* Competence with PC-based systems, switchboard/telephony, CAFM, and Patient Access System.
* Understanding of patient confidentiality and data protection.
* Ability to work under pressure and maintain a polite, professional image.
* IT literate in Microsoft packages.
* Knowledge of site layout and local transport options; professional and sympathetic approach to people.
* Completion of mandatory training as specified in the training plan.
Other Skills and Knowledge
* Professional and sympathetic approach; ability to support customers including non-English speakers and those with disabilities.
* Ability to log and manage communications and records; relevant travel and transport knowledge.
* Ability to coordinate security, post services, key management, and support building management functions.
