Senior Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer
At WSP you will work with a global team to deliver landmark projects across the energy transition. Your role will involve leading electrical design, developing cost‑effective solutions and assessing assets to support our clients from inception to decommissioning.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and develop cost-effective, efficient and innovative electrical solutions for complex problems.
* Deliver projects across various stages of maturity including Feasibility Studies, Concept Designs, FEED Studies, Value Engineering and Detailed Design.
* Prepare and develop electrical deliverables: Single Line Diagrams, cable calculations, cable block diagrams, plant layouts, cable routing, cable containment design, switchgear configurations and bill of materials.
* Collaborate with equipment vendors on design of equipment packages and participate in technical evaluations.
* Work with owners, operators and investors to assess the condition and performance of electrical assets.
* Develop proposals and bids for the EC&I discipline and contribute to multidisciplinary proposals.
Qualifications & Experience
* Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related field with significant postgraduate experience in electrical design and operation.
* Current Chartered Engineer status or actively pursuing IEng/CEng and membership in a recognized Engineering Institute.
* Proven ability to lead the development of electrical deliverables and assess assets under construction or operation.
* Strong knowledge of power and energy project design, construction and operation.
* Experience with medium and high voltage equipment and systems, including commissioning, operation, maintenance, and testing.

The team operates internationally from the UK, Belgrade, Ireland and wider Europe, collaborating with private developers, utilities, governments, banks and OEMs.
