What You’ll Be Doing
As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our projects. Your responsibilities will include:
* Expertise Application: Utilize your Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) knowledge to support system requirements, design, analysis, verification, and validation activities.
* Customer Focus: Understand and model customer and user needs, influencing design activities and operational performance.
* Design Evidence: Ensure comprehensive design proving evidence is captured within the model and endorsed by the appropriate authorities.
* Integration: Integrate models with other submarine platform models.
* Status Reporting: Report on engineering activities, identify problem areas, and implement recovery plans, including managing change embodiment activities.
* Leadership: Lead the development of estimates for work scope and resources to support bids, proposals, and project planning.
* Mentorship: Share your knowledge to lead and develop others in MBSE.
Your Skills and Experiences
Essential:
* Proven experience in Model Based Systems Engineering within the defence or maritime industries.
* Familiarity with the engineering lifecycle and its phases relevant to this role.
* Knowledge of engineering standards, including safety and environmental regulations.
Desirable:
* Experience with Systems Engineering modelling tools like Enterprise Architect (EA).
* Familiarity with Systems modelling languages such as SysML.
* Knowledge of modelling frameworks and ISO15288.
