FMCG - Control & Instrumentation Project Engineer - 12 months - £500 - £550 per dayAdditional Information:The role is positioned in the Global Brands Supply, Project Engineering team providing Capital Project support to Manufacturing sites including liquid processing and packaging. The overall purpose of this project team is to deliver capital expenditure projects. For this role this includes:Use specialist Control and Instrumentation experience to deliver capex projects to correct technical specification.Development of requirement specifications in collaboration with other teams such as Operations and Maintenance.Development of cost estimates and project schedules.Co-ordinating and managing external resources.Manage the project lifecycle including capital approval, maintaining accurate financial data, spend, forecast and project closure.Experience of maintaining and/or installing process control systems, process knowledge ideally gained from working within the fast moving consumer goods environment.Manage construction activities and overseeing commissioning activities.Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental standards.Familiarity with PRA's and HAZOP/LOPA/SIL/SIS processesSkillsProcess Control systems (hardware & software)Experience in FMCG and in particular liquid packaging environments.Project Management (including scope, cost, budget and timescales)Health & Safety Management & co-ordination of contractors under CDM 2015 regulationsAbility to communicate effectively and proactively with customers and internal teams regarding plans, products, issues, timelines and solution value.Knowledge of PRA's and HAZOP/LOPA/SIL/SIS processesHazop, LOPA, DSEAR and PUWER experience and knowledgeExperience in end to end project management is essentialEducationThe role holder will have relevant education and experience in controls & instrumentation engineering.NEBOSH or similar H&S qualificationAditional informationThe role is based in Leven 4 days normally but when they are doing commissioning they may need to be 5 days on sites.
Some trips to canonbridge which is 1 mile away. This is a 7 year project which they are 2.5 years into. 1st phase going live this friday.
High profile role with senior stakeholder engagement. The successful candidate needs to have been involved in HAZOP and SIL classification need, risk management and end to end project management. They want people who are used to largescale and high risk projects preferably in similar FMCG Industry but this isn't mandatory.
We need people used to working with time and planning constraits. They finish at lunch time on Fridays. Successful candidate could take the lead on other projects in due course (cyber).
