Primary Teaching AssistantLocation: Lewisham, South East LondonStart Date: September 2026Pay: £100 - £120 per day
Remedy Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Lewisham to recruit a committed and compassionate Primary Teaching Assistant for a September 2026 start.
This OFSTED-rated 'Good' school is recognised for its supportive ethos and strong commitment to pupils' academic success, emotional wellbeing, and personal development. As a Teaching Assistant, you will collaborate closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver targeted 1:1 and small-group support, helping pupils build confidence, stay engaged, and reach their full potential.
This role would suit someone who is patient, proactive, and empathetic, with a genuine passion for supporting children-including those with additional needs-in a nurturing school environment.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Experience working with children in a primary school setting (essential)
* Knowledge of strategies to support learning, communication, and behaviour
* A calm, caring, and resilient approach
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver targeted 1:1 and small-group interventions
* Support the class teacher with differentiated learning activities
* Encourage pupils' social, emotional, and behavioural development
* Use creative and engaging approaches to enhance learning
* Track pupil progress and provide feedback to the class teacher and SENCO
* Help maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
