Healthcare Assistant
Location: Ashton Under Lyne, OL7
Pay Rate: £13.50 - £17.00 per hour
Shifts: Part Time, Days | 7am - 7pm | Full Time, Nights | 7pm to 7am

Meet Our Client
We are supporting a charismatic young man who is happy, sociable, and thrives in the company of others. He enjoys a range of sensory activities, colourful TV programmes, animated DVDs, and is especially entertained by silly noises and raspberry sounds that bring out his laughter. He loves getting out and about - whether it's shopping trips or spending time outdoors - and finds comfort in calm environments, particularly when relaxing with sensory lighting at bedtime.
This role is much more than just delivering care - it's about bringing out the best in him. He has a fantastic sense of humour, enjoys banter with family, and thrives when surrounded by people who can engage with his personality and interests. We are looking for a maternal, nurturing, and proactive female carer who can confidently take the lead in organising engaging, tailored activities that enrich his day-to-day life. Sensory play is a key part of his routine, so creativity and a genuine interest in building rapport are essential.
If our client is admitted to hospital, carers must be able to accompany him, and shifts may need to be carried out within a hospital setting.

What You'll Need
3 months' care experience
Confident with medication, personal care, moving and handling
Clear Communication Skills
Exposure to complex care such as epilepsy and respiratory management
