Lab Analyst - Glass Manufacturing

We are seeking a Lab Analyst to join our analytical laboratory team, working closely with production and technical teams to ensure quality across our float, coated and laminated glass manufacturing processes.
What You'll Do:
Perform a range of tests on raw materials (e.g. cullet and sand) and finished glass products
Conduct float glass and laminate testing, including: o Glass chemistry testing (using XRF and other techniques)
o UV and energy transmission measurements
o Stress analysis and defect identification (20-30 samples per day)
o Humidity testing
Ensure critical float line testing is completed by 8:00am for daily production meetings
Work closely with technical and production teams to maintain quality and resolve issues
Operate in a laboratory environment closely linked to manufacturing processesWhat We're Looking For:
Educated to A-Level science (or equivalent) and/or relevant industrial or manufacturing lab experience
Practical laboratory skills and a willingness to learn new techniques
Experience in glass manufacturing or an industrial lab environment is desirable but not essential
A can-do, proactive attitude with attention to detail
