Job Responsibilities
Overview: Senior Teachers deliver effective lessons with measurable outcomes, working closely with the Director of Studies for planning, paperwork, and training, adhering to BSC policies. They may undertake non-academic duties as needed. Accommodation and meals are included.
* Plan and deliver engaging language lessons.
* Teach at least 15 hours weekly.
* Support academic courses with 27 hours of duties/cover.
* Lead cover duties as the first responder.
* Follow BSC syllabus and complete weekly planning, attendance, and reports.
* Participate in observations, feedback, and teacher evaluations.
* Support lesson planning, deliver INSETT sessions, and assist with events like graduation.
* Attend meetings, participate in induction, and uphold professionalism.
* Comply with uniform and centre policies, serve as a positive role model.
Child Protection & Safeguarding
* Promote and safeguard children's welfare.
* Familiarize and adhere to safeguarding policies.
* Report absences and safeguarding concerns.
* Complete required safeguarding training.
Qualifications & Experience
* CELTA + young learner teaching experience or equivalent.
* Minimum 2 years working with young learners.
* Proficient in MS Office and database use.
* Excellent lesson planning skills, adaptable, team-oriented, calm under pressure.
* Right to work in the UK/EU, enhanced DBS clearance.
