HR Advisor
Location: York
Hours: Hybrid (4 days in the office, 1 WFH), Full Time, Monday to Friday
Salary: Dependant on experience
We are working in partnership with a growing manufacturing business based in York who are looking to appoint an HR Advisor to support their continued growth.
This is a unique opportunity to join a business at an exciting stage of its journey, where you will work closely with senior leadership, gain exposure across the wider business, and play a key role in shaping HR processes as the company continues to grow.
Working alongside the HR lead, this role offers a blend of hands-on HR support and executive-level exposure, giving you visibility across the organisation and the opportunity to develop your career within a supportive environment.
The Role
This is a broad and varied position where you will support both the HR function and the Senior Leadership Team.
The majority of your time will focus on HR activity, alongside supporting senior stakeholders with key administrative responsibilities.
Key responsibilities include:
HR Support
1. Managing onboarding and offboarding processes, including contracts and first-day inductions
2. Maintaining accurate employee records within the HR system
3. Acting as a first point of contact for employee queries
4. Supporting recruitment activity, coordinating interviews and liaising with agencies
5. Ensuring HR processes and documentation remain compliant
6. Supporting payroll preparation at a first stage level
7. Coordinating training and development activity across the business
Executive Support
8. Managing travel arrangements, including international travel
9. Supporting diary management and meeting coordination
10. Preparing agendas, presentations, and meeting minutes
11. Supporting senior leaders with events, conferences, and external engagements
12. Providing administrative support to the wider leadership team
There may also be occasional opportunities to support at trade shows or attend international travel where required.
About You
We are looking for someone who enjoys a varied role and is confident supporting both HR activity and senior stakeholders.
You will be:
13. Experienced in HR administration, HR advisory, or senior administration roles
14. Highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
15. Proactive and solutions-focused, comfortable working with autonomy
16. Confident communicating with stakeholders at all levels
17. Discreet and professional when handling sensitive information
18. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
This role would particularly suit someone with executive or senior administration experience who is looking to develop further within HR, or someone in an HR role who enjoys broader business exposure and visibility.
