We are looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Ports and Terminals team with a background in maritime or heavy civils construction. You may have been involved with either the permanent or temporary works design, or with the planning and estimation of these projects. * Professional membership of a relevant body (e.g. Institution of Civil Engineers), ideally Chartered or working towards Chartered status;
* A civil or structural engineering degree;
* Experience to take the initiative, find solutions and proactively drive progress;
* Ability to support and work closely with other members of the Ports & Terminals Team to optimise the design of maritime structures and facilities;
* Knowledge in project management with the planning, management and delivery of projects on time and on budget.
* Real world experience of the structural design and analysis of maritime structures or similar structures.
* Working knowledge of current design codes and standards (ISO, BS6349, Eurocodes) and the CDM regulations.
* Experience of heavy civils or maritime construction.
* Real world experience of reviewing and managing the preparation of technical engineering drawings from feasibility to construction stage issue.
* Salary from £45,809 to £54,219 dependant on experience
