Detailed job description and main responsibilities Responsible for the safe and effective co-ordination of all clinics on a daily basis, ensuring a high quality patient experience. Provide advice, education, support and information to patients and their relatives / carers as required and involve patients, relatives / carers in the planning and delivery of care. (Please refer to the job description/person specification for further details on the role) Person specification Training & Qualifications Essential criteria RGN - first level Diploma or Degree in nursing or health related subject Recognised NMC Teaching and Assessing Qualification or equivalent Evidence of Post registration Educational Continuing development. Desirable criteria Clinical Leadership Programme Experience Essential criteria Minimum of 4 years post registration experience. Evidence of innovation and achievements in clinical practice Demonstrates a high level of clinical expertise. Desirable criteria Development of multi- disciplinary working practices Experience or working within an Outpatients Department Management/Leadership at Band 6 Level. Demonstrates experience of clinical risk management Communication and relationship skills Essential criteria Evidence of successful change management. Ability to prioritise. Effective Communicator and negotiator Acts as a clinical role model and as a mentor, assessor and support for learners within department.
