Job Title: Road Freight Operator

Salary: £25,000 – £27,000 per annum (negotiable depending on experience)

My client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Road Freight Operator to join a growing logistics team based in Bristol. This position is ideal for someone with existing road freight experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building strong customer relationships.
The team is friendly, supportive, and focused on shared success — you'll be joining a close-knit group within a branch that continues to expand on the back of strong performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a dedicated set of customer accounts.
* Handle all aspects of bookings, including quoting and arranging transport.
* Provide accurate spot quotes and ensure timely follow-up.
* Maintain customer relationships, ensuring a high level of service.
* Process invoices and resolve invoice-related queries.
* Respond to phone and email enquiries promptly and professionally.
* Support the wider operations team as required.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
* Experience within road freight or transport operations (import/export or domestic).
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to multitask and thrive under pressure.
* Confident using IT systems and handling documentation.
* Reliable, proactive, and eager to learn and take on new tasks.
* Excellent time management and attention to detail.
Desirable:
* Basic knowledge of customs procedures.
* 2–5 years' experience in a similar role within freight forwarding or logistics.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm
