We are looking for someone enthusiastic to join our small team. We're a small kennel specialising in large/strong breed dogs.
You must be proactive, physically fit, able to work in a team and independently, follow instructions clearly. A full manual driving license is essential as you will be required to transport dogs to and from our sister kennels. We are looking for someone mature and who is able to communicate clearly and effectively in person and over the phone. You must be confident around a variety of dog breeds, some with behavioural issues.
You must be compassionate and understanding of all dogs and client situations. Previous kennel experience is preferred and additional training will be carried out. You must be able to follow our strict safety protocols to ensure the safety and wellbeing of yourself, other staff members and the dogs under our care.
Alongside working in the kennels you will be required to be part of our on call emergency team to help and assist with emergency situations. Our team is on call 24/7 365 days a year. The shifts are covered evenly between the team. You will be working with another team member until you are fully trained and happy to go out on calls by yourself.
We are looking for someone to work 35 hours a week with occasional overtime and holiday cover. This is shift work so flexibility to work weekdays and weekends is essential. You will have to undergo an enhanced DBS check once you have completed your probation period.
