Job Description The Technical Support Officer (TSO) plays a critical role in supporting Client Projects within Matrix Multi-Discipline Teams (MDTs), delivering robust quality management services. Primary Focus: Ensure client compliance with quality requirements across Programmes and Projects. Secondary Focus: Support project-wide quality standards—establishing MIT Plans, Life-Time Quality Records, NCRs, Root Cause Analysis, and Audit readiness.The TSO collaborates closely with all project functions to drive consistent, safe, and efficient delivery—upholding nuclear safety at all times. ⚡ Key Responsibilities Embed within Programmes/Projects to apply quality activities and ensure compliance. Collect and analyse quality metrics for clear reporting to management. Drive and support the non-conformance process—facilitating timely closure and preventative actions. Identify, capture, and review quality records. Conduct workstream and cross-project quality reviews. Accountabilities Day-to-day delivery of quality support activities per Client direction or Task Orders. Generating reports, presentations, and data reviews to meet quality requirements. Conducting record checks to ensure supply chain/MDT quality compliance. Contributing to the Programme Quality Assurance Plan (PQAP) and Inspection/Test Plans (ITPs). Supporting audit planning and managing audit findings across the supply chain. Ensuring controls for subcontractor-provided Quality Records and End of Reports. Leading NCR close-outs, Root Cause Analyses, and Preventative Actions. Assisting in investigations by providing accurate quality data. Creating dashboards and NCR KPI reports (weekly, monthly, ad hoc) for various stakeholders. Preparing regulator-facing materials.⚡ Delivering regular reports on: Quality metrics & objectives NCR status (including root cause/repeats) Quality records & backlogs Right First Time performance Qualifications Knowledge, Skills & Experience 4–6 years’ experience in a project environment, ideally within a regulated sector. Self-motivated and proactive, with a strong Completer/Finisher mindset. Solid understanding of quality and safety standards in complex environments. Experience working under ISO 9001 and ISO 19443 certified systems. Familiarity with ONR Licence Conditions is a strong advantage. Skilled in planning and conducting Internal Audits. Proven ability to review and assess Quality Records (e.g. Material Certification, CFSI). Competent in analysing quality data at multiple business levels. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Adaptable and results-driven, able to work independently across varied quality issues. Background in technical or engineering sectors preferred (not limited to nuclear).
