1:1 Learning Support Assistant – Immediate Start
Are you passionate about supporting students in their learning journey? Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to join a well-established independent school in the Preston area. This is a full-time, fixed-term contract with the potential for an extension.

The Role
The Secondary School is looking to appoint a full-time 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to provide dedicated support to pupils in Years 7 & 8 with an EHCP. The primary needs include ASD, ADHD, along with associated speech and language difficulties and anxiety.
As part of this role, you will:
* Assist in promoting the learning and personal development of named pupils, enabling them to make the most of the educational and social opportunities available to them.
* Work closely with teachers and SEN staff to implement tailored learning strategies.
* Support classroom activities, ensuring an inclusive and engaging learning experience.
* Provide emotional and social support to help build the students’ confidence and independence.
Requirements
* Experience working with children, preferably in an educational or SEN setting.
* A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* The ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
