About ARU:
ARU LDS partners with seven police forces in the Eastern Region and the Metropolitan Police Service to train future police officers through various degree apprenticeship programmes. We combine academic learning with on-the-job experience and deliver training at police facilities and our dedicated Police Education centre in London. We are developing innovative programmes to meet sector needs.
About the Role:
We seek an experienced academic leader to oversee police education programme delivery across multiple sites and develop new programmes nationally and internationally. Responsibilities include quality assurance, continuous improvement, and stakeholder collaboration. Regular travel to ARU campuses and police locations nationwide is required.
About You:
You should hold a degree and relevant Higher Education teaching qualification, with experience in leading academic teams, managing complex programmes, and working within quality frameworks (e.g., OfS, QAA, OFSTED). Experience in police education or public service partnerships is advantageous.
Additional Information:
Applicants must pass background checks, including clearance from the College of Policing barring list, and obtain NPPV Level 2 clearance. The role involves travel between police sites and ARU campuses. Location is flexible between home, Chelmsford, London, and Cambridge regions.
