About the Job
Ardmac are recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage the commercial and surveying aspects of a major high value industrial project located in Somerset.
Responsibilities of the Senior Quantity Surveyor
In this role, you will be working on the following tasks:
* Overall financial, contractual and legal contract of the project.
* Working on basis of strong knowledge and understanding of our obligations under the Contract.
* Preparation of contract budget
* Administration of Contract Records.
* Attendance at meetings such as contract handover meeting
* Measurement and valuation.
* Production of Loss and Expense claims with Surveying Manager / Commercial Director.
* Production and agreement of Final Accounts.
* Form Relationship with PQS/Client/consultants/Supply Chain.
* Development and mentoring of commercial staff within the project team
Required Candidate Skills and Experience

Qualifications:
* BSc in Quantity Surveying
Ability and knowledge of:
* Knowledge of construction methods and technology
* Knowledge & understanding of measurement, valuation, claims, loss & expense
* Knowledge & understanding of Final Accounts
* Knowledge & understanding of subcontract/materials orders & buying
