Role Title: Senior Engineer – Electrical Systems

We are now recruiting for Senior Electrical Systems Engineers to join our electrical engineering team, which is responsible for delivering the complete design of the electrical systems, spanning system architecture, sub-systems and components, equipment specification and selection, and providing design assurance to ensure safe and reliable electrical plant for the SMR.
About the Role:
You will provide technical expertise across the lifecycle of electrical systems for the SMR nuclear power plant. This covers the delivery of the complete design of the electrical systems, spanning system architecture, sub-system design, and equipment specification and selection to realise the final verified design of the power station.
You will achieve this by working closely with engineering teams across the power station and applying a structured systems engineering approach to design.
We'll Need You To:
* Deliver technical expertise across the electrical system lifecycle
* Work collaboratively with other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated design solutions
* Apply structured systems engineering methodologies to electrical system design
* Support design assurance and compliance with regulatory requirements
Key Skills Required:
* Previous experience within the nuclear industry is desirable, but experience across the electrical system lifecycle in a regulated industry (e.g., Nuclear, Defence, Aerospace, Rail, Automotive, Oil & Gas) is beneficial
* Degree-level qualification in electrical engineering or a related subject (or equivalent experience)
* Strong understanding of electrical system architecture, design, and verification processes
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills across multi-disciplinary teams
Location:
Hybrid working with one of the following locations as your primary site: Derby, Manchester or Warrington.
Salary and Package:
The salary band for this will be between £51,600–£67,725 dependent on the skills, values, and knowledge you bring. There may be some flexibility with the starting salary in exceptional cases, and, in due course, there is the potential for you to develop the role further.
