Location: Remote; with the option for hybrid working at our London (Wembley) headquarters.*
Salary: £32,000 to £42,000 per annum, plus OTE bonus.*

THE ROLE:
Global Institute of Sport is seeking a talented, ambitious Careers Coach to support the career development and employability of our university students studying online and at our iconic stadium campuses globally.
Joining an award-winning team ranked #1 for graduate employment prospects by SportBusiness magazine, the Careers Coach will deliver high quality career services that equip students with the skills and resources needed to successfully navigate the global job market.
ABOUT YOU:
* A drive to constantly improve our students’ career and employability skills and outcomes in a dynamic, exciting organisation that is a world leader in securing graduates in the sports industry.
* Experience in a career coaching, career services or employability-related role, ideally within a university or educational setting.
* An understanding of the global graduate employment market and trends in employability skills, including experience from liaising with employers.
* Knowledge of career development frameworks and tools to aid a student in their career progression e.g. online job boards, LinkedIn Learning, relevant software.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, especially when working with our students, employers and fellow staff.
* A positive, can-do attitude.
* A passion for working in sport and/or education.
* You hold a university degree or relevant qualification, ideally in a related subject.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Career Guidance and Support:
* Provide one-on-one career coaching, advising, workshops and personal development plans to students at various stages of their academic journey.
* Guide students on career planning, CV writing, interview preparation, job search strategies, and networking techniques.
* Organise and deliver career-focussed presentations/events to help students explore career paths, both online and at our global campuses (supported by local colleagues).
* Maintain and update career-related content on the university’s digital platforms.
* Ensure students are aware of the full range of career services and opportunities available to them.
* Work with the Student Recruitment and Events teams to represent the Careers function at Open Days, as well as speak to incoming students about their career prospects and opportunities in the sports industry, where required.
Employer Engagement and Networking:
* Working with the Events and Academic teams, plan career fairs, employer visits and networking events that connect students with potential employers and industry leaders.
* Liaise with members of our sports industry advisory board and our scholarship students to ensure our mentorship programme is being fulfilled.
* Communicate jobs and internships to students when employers offer opportunities.
Data and Reporting:
* Working with our Data team, collect and analyse data on graduate employability outcomes, and engagement with career services.
