Sales & Marketing Assistant Barkin' Bistro – Kilrea 3 Days Per Week | £14–£16 per hour + Commission
Barkin' Bistro is an award-winning pet food company producing premium raw, cooked and natural functional meals for dogs and cats, handcrafted in Northern Ireland.
We are looking for a confident and proactive Sales & Marketing Assistant to join our team on-site three days per week. This is a varied and hands-on role combining customer communication, product education, marketing support and sales development. This role would suit someone with a genuine interest in raw feeding, natural pet nutrition or holistic health products, who enjoys talking to customers and helping a growing business expand.
Key Responsibilities Sales & Customer Support Answer customer calls and product enquiries Support customers with subscriptions and repeat orders Follow up warm enquiries and guide customers towards suitable products Prepare and send product samples to potential stockists Build positive relationships with retail and wholesale customers Communicate product benefits clearly and confidently
Marketing & Content Create Stories, Reels and simple product-focused content Assist with posting on Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn Support product launches and seasonal promotions Help prepare materials and information for stockists
Email Marketing Create and send Mailchimp campaigns Write engaging email content highlighting product benefits Support list management and basic reporting
Commission & Incentives 5% commission on the first order value of any new wholesale stockist secured Additional incentive available for supporting subscription growth (details discussed at interview)
What We're Looking For Confident and friendly communicator Organised and self-motivated Commercial mindset with an interest in sales Genuine interest in natural pet nutrition Comfortable using social media and basic computer systems Ability to work independently and take initiative
Hours & Pay 3 days per week (approximately 21–24 hours) On-site at our Kilrea facility £14–£16 per hour depending on experience Commission and growth incentives Pay review after probation Staff pet food allowance
