We're currently recruiting Support Assistants to join our growing client based in the Bournemouth area.
If you are looking for a 30-hour week working a 3 on/3 off pattern on a permanent basis, then this is the role for you.
As a Support Assistant, you'll play a crucial role in delivering a caring and professional experience for passengers who may have reduced mobility, disabilities, or are otherwise in need of support (e.g., unaccompanied minors).
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Assisting passengers in wheelchairs
2. Helping with boarding, disembarking, and transfers
3. Assisting with lifting and moving passengers (some heavy lifting required)
4. Escorting and supervising unaccompanied children
5. Providing reassurance and excellent customer service
6. Coordinating via email
7. Monitoring flight times and schedules
Working hours for the Support Assistant role:
For your first week while receiving training, you will work the following:
* Monday to Friday
* 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Following your training, your shift pattern will be:
* 3 days on / 3 days off
* Early: 3:00 AM - 1:00 PM
* Late: 3:00 PM - 1:00 AM
* Overtime available
To be successful as a Support Assistant, you must:
* Hold a full UK Driving Licence
* Have a DBS Check (cost reimbursed after start)
* Be comfortable with manual handling and heavy lifting
* Have 5 years of work history within the UK
* Possess strong communication and customer service skills
* Have basic admin and computer skills (email and spreadsheets)
* Be reliable, professional, and have a caring nature
* Have a good level of English
