About the team and the role
Ocado Retail are looking for an experienced Digital Marketing Lead to join the Digital Marketing team. The Digital Marketing Lead reports directly to the Head of Digital Marketing and works alongside the Marketing Technology Lead and Digital Campaigns Manager in delivering highly innovative campaigns that deliver new customer acquisition. The role will manage the in-house biddable media team and the corresponding agencies across PPC, Social Media, Display and Affiliate, working with considerable budgets to drive customer growth, and continue Ocado’s journey in reshaping the customers experience within the grocery sector. What you’ll do
1. Lead with a positive, can-do attitude and effectively manage and mentor the digital marketing team through change and evolution whilst fostering a high-performance culture
2. Analytical mind for managing significant spend and budgets, optimising for customer lifetime value and profitability
3. Pro-active, highly skilled communication, developing new processes and ways of working within the digital marketing team and in partnership with trade, creative and brand marketing functions at Ocado Retail
4. Cross-functional collaboration, including Brand Marketing, Trade Marketing and Insights to ensure cohesive and effective marketing campaigns
5. Building and execute innovative, data-driven, customer-first digital marketing campaigns while thriving in a fast paced environment with conflicting priorities
6. Drive continuous improvement through rigorous A/B testing, data analysis, and experimentation
7. Monitor and analyse campaign performance, providing regular reports and insights to stakeholders
8. Identify and evaluate new opportunities and emerging trends in digital marketing to maintain our competitive edge
9. Manage relationships with external agencies and partners, ensuring high-quality delivery and continuous delivery against our learning agenda
Who you are
10. Digital Marketing Expert with a wide range of digital marketing experience, gained in a fast paced consumer environment
11. Solid experience of leading highly performing teams and an ability to work across multiple departments and third parties
12. Problem solver, achiever, out-of-the-box thinker with a positive attitude
13. Highly analytical, commercially astute
14. Extensive experience in digital marketing, with a strong focus on performance marketing channels (PPC, Paid Social, YouTube, Display, Affiliates)
15. Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale campaigns and budgets to deliver significant results
16. Deep understanding of digital marketing platforms and technologies, including Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, and Affiliate marketing platforms
17. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to stakeholders at all levels
18. Strong understanding of attribution models and methodologies
19. Proficiency in web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) and reporting platforms
20. Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset
21. Strong leadership skills
22. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
23. Highly collaborative with strong interpersonal skills
