Job Overview We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Executive Chef in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and maintaining exceptional standards of food safety and service. Duties Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and development, ensuring innovative and seasonal offerings. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to enhance their culinary skills. Manage daily kitchen operations, including inventory control, food preparation, and cooking. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen. Oversee banquet preparations and execution, ensuring timely service for large events. Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment that fosters teamwork and creativity. Monitor food quality during preparation and presentation to maintain high standards. Assist in ordering supplies and managing inventory to minimize waste and optimize costs. Qualifications Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in the restaurant or catering industry. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team. Extensive knowledge of food handling, safety practices, and culinary techniques. Experience with menu planning, food production, and kitchen management. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for inventory management. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with staff and guests. Culinary degree or equivalent experience is preferred; banquet experience is a plus.
