About us
About John Port Spencer Academy
John Port Spencer Academy is a large and vibrant community school with the ambition to ensure the very best learning experience for each and every one of our students. We are a Good School (Ofsted 2022) and we recognise that every student has their own individual strengths, gifts and talents and aim to ensure these are all nurtured and developed to their full potential.
We are looking to appoint a Pastoral Manager to join our highly dedicated and hardworking team. This is a crucial role, and the person appointed will need to be a role model, an active listener, observer, and critical friend to our students. The successful candidate will be part of a wider team and provide the right environment and professional support for all pupils to help them achieve their potential. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly committed and enthusiastic team.
We have a second vacancy for a Pastoral Manager working as a Referral Lead with students who are placed in the Referral room for a short period. The job description applies to both roles, and candidates can state their preference on application and may be considered for both if shortlisted.
If you are passionate about supporting young people in an education setting, we would welcome your application. For more information or an informal discussion about the role, please contact Mrs Topham (HR Officer) at recruitment@johnportspencer.org.uk.
