Who You Are We are looking for a full-time Family Support Worker to join our Interventions Hub, a vital part of helping families get the right help at the right time. You should have experience working with children, young people, and their families, and be committed to enhancing parenting capacity and improving the life chances of children. You should be self-motivated, well-organized, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team. Flexibility in working hours and a full valid driving license with sole use of a vehicle are required. What the Job Involves Your role will involve delivering quality services that empower parents with children identified to be in need. You will work to enhance and promote the health and development of these children through a variety of support services including direct work, group work, and family work. Key responsibilities include assessing children's and parents' needs, contributing to core assessments, managing an allocated caseload, coordinating with professionals, and facilitating supervised contact between children and their parents. You will also be attending meetings, compiling reports, and working collaboratively with other service areas, agencies, and service users. Skills Experience with evidence-based practices, including Parenting Programmes Knowledge of the 1989 Children Act and Social Services Well-being Act (Wales) 2014 Theoretical and practical knowledge of Child Development and Parenting Skills Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing Report writing abilities Able to manage workload independently Effective use of ICT systems for recording information Understanding of Child Protection procedures Teamwork and flexibility Full driving license and car owner
