Main Responsibilities of Our Buyer
* Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of Meech products
* Manage sourcing, purchasing, and delivery of materials and components
* Participate in weekly MPS/MRP operations using Microsoft Dynamics Navision (NAV)
* Place purchase orders, maintain accurate inbound delivery dates, and liaise with relevant departments
* Control free issue items for subcontracting
* Ensure compliance, quality, OTIF, and cost performance
* Update MRP/ERP system to reflect current trading conditions
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience Required
* Proven experience in manufacturing procurement, especially with subcontract and direct procurement of fabricated parts
* Experience in delivering cost savings
* Understanding of procurement processes, risk management, ESG, SRM, and negotiation
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
* Numerate, analytical, and commercially aware
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and MRP/ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics Navision (NAV)
* Organized, accurate, detail-oriented, and proactive
* CIPS qualification is preferable but not essential
