The Vacancy
Working within the Finance team of City Facilities Management (UK) Ltd, part of City Facilities Management Holdings Ltd, this role is based at our Glasgow Headquarters.
CFM (UK) Ltd has responsibility for the Facilities Management of c700 Retail & Distribution sites across the UK for key long standing contract. This is a great opportunity to join global company and engaging finance team with focus on colleague development, process improvement and involvement in Microsoft Dynamics 365 roll-out.
Job Purpose
Working within the Finance team you will provide support to the Accounting and Central Reporting Lead supporting our Cleaning and Facilities Management teams. This management accountant role is involved in the preparation of management accounts and financial reporting providing analysis and insight of operational cost variances.
Principal Tasks & Responsibilities
1. Preparation of monthly management accounts for key business areas Ensuring all month end tasks are completed to agreed schedule and relevant deadlines are met
2. Business partnering with operations colleagues
3. Building an understanding of the key contracts
4. Maintaining control over balance sheet accounts
5. Weekly and monthly reporting, developing capabilities in Power BI Assistance with ad-hoc/project work as required by Accounting and Central Reporting Lead
Experience, Skills & Qualifications
6. Previous experience in a finance environment required
7. Ideally studying for professional accountancy qualification (support provided)
8. Strong Microsoft Excel skills Good IT skills (current systems Sun 6, Sun Vision, DEPM and Epoch (City bespoke system)
9. Experience in a high-volume transaction environment
10. Commitment to multiple deadlines
11. Strong interpersonal skills Proactive approach to process improvement within team including future opportunities from Microsoft D365
