Job Description
The Civil Litigation Solicitor will be:
3. Handling a full caseload of debt recovery and insolvency matters from initial instruction through to conclusion
4. Managing litigated claims efficiently and in line with procedural deadlines
5. Drafting pleadings, applications, witness statements and other key legal documents
6. Advising on litigation strategy, recovery routes and enforcement options
7. Liaising with clients, internal stakeholders, courts and external agents
8. Reviewing matters for settlement, escalation and insolvency action where appropriate
9. Instructing barristers where advocacy support is required
10. Supporting strong case progression, risk management and compliance standards
11. Delivering a high standard of client service across a varied civil litigation caseload
The Successful Applicant
The Civil Litigation Solicitor should be:
12. A solicitor or equivalent with NQ+ PQE
13. Experienced in civil litigation
14. Confident managing files with appropriate supervision for level of experience
15. Familiar with handling matters from instruction through to resolution
16. Comfortable drafting legal documentation and corresponding with multiple parties
17. Organised, commercially aware and able to prioritise a busy caseload
18. A Fellow of CILEX with litigation rights will also be considered
19. Interested in developing further within a specialist recoveries and disputes team
