Job title: Head of Health, Safety and Security
Location: Birmingham or London
Role of Department:
* To set the strategic direction, policy and systems in relation to Health, Safety, Environmental Management, Security, Quality and Assurance.
* To provide assurance to the Executive and Board, lead major strategic projects and offer expert advice to the business.
Accountabilities:
* To be responsible for providing strategic health, safety and environmental management advice and support to leadership and delivery teams.
* To be accountable for providing leadership and overseeing the functional line management of embedded QHSSE Managers within Integrated Project Teams (IPTs) and those that support other development and delivery areas.
* To be responsible for providing support to leadership on the Safe Decision Making and Common Safety Method for Risk evaluation and Assessment (CSM-RA) compliance requirements.
* To be accountable for validating and approving subcontractor Health, Safety and Security (HSS) Performance (pre-contract award) and support sub-contractor on-boarding.
