Offer description

About Us
No young person should ever feel like they’re facing a mental health crisis alone.
We’re here for those aged 11–17 who are navigating some of life’s hardest moments — offering compassionate, trauma-informed support when it matters most. Our team works around the clock to bring safety, calm, and connection to young people experiencing acute emotional distress or mental health difficulties.
We don’t just show up — we stay present, we listen deeply, and we lead with care.

The Role
We’re looking for a Crisis Support Worker who brings empathy, resilience, and a calm, confident presence to the young people in our care.
In this flexible, agency-based role, you’ll be supporting one vulnerable young person on a long-term, one-to-one basis as part of a 24/7 solo care package. This is frontline work — it’s emotionally demanding, fast-moving, and deeply meaningful.
You’ll be a constant, steady presence in their life — helping them feel safe, heard, and supported while guiding them through daily life and moments of crisis.

What You’ll Be Doing
•  Creating Structure & Stability – Support daily routines and engage the young person in meaningful activities and fun days out that promote wellbeing, independence, and connection.
•  Providing Therapeutic Support – Use evidence-based techniques like grounding and emotional regulation to manage distress and build resilience, always putting their emotional safety first.
•  Keeping Clear, Accurate Records – Log incidents, interventions, and communications professionally and sensitively, in line with safeguarding and legal requirements.
•  Ongoing Learning & Supervision – Take part in reflective practice, regular supervision, and training to support your professional growth and personal resilience.
•  Transport Support – Help ensure the young person gets to school, appointments, and other activities safely and on time.
•  Collaborating with Professionals – Work closely with CAMHS, social workers, emergency services, and other professionals to deliver consistent, joined-up care.

Requirements

Are You the Right Fit?

* We’re looking for someone who’s steady in a storm and passionate about helping young people feel safe and supported.
Ask yourself:
✔ Do you have experience supporting young people in crisis or with complex mental health needs?
✔ Can you stay calm, compassionate, and clear under pressure?
✔ Do you understand trauma-informed and person-centred approaches?
✔ Are you flexible with your availability (including evenings, weekends, and short-notice shifts)?
✔ Do you have a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle?
Experience in secure settings, hospital wards, or prison services is a bonus — as is a background in youth work, psychology, mental health, or social care. But above all, we’re looking for someone who shows up with heart, presence, and a genuine desire to make a difference.

* A chance to make a genuine impact in a young person’s life
* Casual dress – we care more about how you show up than what you wear
* Referral bonus – if you know someone else who’s got what it takes, we’ll thank you for spreading the word
