Overview
Shade-Space UK is a leading supplier of high-end outdoor shading systems, including pergolas and architectural awnings and Parasols, for both residential and commercial projects. Our clients include architects, landscape designers, contractors, and high-end homeowners seeking to create functional and elegant outdoor spaces.
We are looking for a Sales Representative who combines technical understanding with a consultative, design-led approach to sales.
What You’ll Do
• Consult with clients: Meet with homeowners, architects, designers, and business owners to discuss their shading requirements and present suitable solutions and finishes.
• Survey and measure: Conduct site visits to take accurate measurements, evaluate technical constraints, and confirm installation feasibility.
• Provide quotations: Prepare tailored quotations, drawings, and visualisations based on product selection and site survey data.
• Handle sales: Manage the entire sales process — from first enquiry through to order handover — ensuring an excellent client experience.
• Develop business contacts: Build relationships with specifiers such as architects, landscapers, and construction professionals to identify upcoming projects and generate specification sales.
• Liaise with project and installation teams: Work closely with internal designers, factory partners, and project managers to ensure smooth delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Meet sales targets: Work to achieve monthly and quarterly targets while maintaining the quality and integrity of Shade-Space’s client service.
Where You’ll Work
Residential: Home consultations with private clients designing terraces, patios, or garden rooms.
Commercial: Hospitality, hotels, restaurants, and commercial outdoor environments requiring large-scale shading or architectural integration.
Geographic: London and the Southeast
Skills & Qualifications
• Proven experience in sales — ideally in awnings, outdoor structures, Veranda and or Glazing.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with a design-aware approach.
• Confident in site measuring and technical assessment.
• Understand and be able to discuss architectural drawings and specifications.
• Highly organised, target-driven, and self-motivated.
• Comfortable liaising with architects, contractors, and homeowners.
• Full UK driving licence; pooled company car available.
