Job Title: Supply Teaching Assistant (Primary Schools – Long Term Placements)

About the Role:
We are currently seeking enthusiastic and adaptable Supply Teaching Assistants to support primary schools across Rochdale in long-term placements. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about education, enjoy working with children, and are looking to make a positive impact in the classroom.
As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support the learning and development of pupils across EYFS, KS1, and KS2. You will assist with classroom activities, provide one-to-one or small group support, and help create an inclusive, engaging, and safe learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support teaching staff in delivering engaging lessons.
2. Provide targeted support to pupils, including those with additional needs.
3. Assist with classroom management and organisation.
4. Encourage positive behaviour and promote an inclusive learning environment.
5. Contribute to pupils’ social and emotional development.
6. Support with preparation of resources and general classroom duties.
Requirements:
7. Experience working with children in a school or similar setting (paid or voluntary).
8. A genuine passion for supporting the learning and development of primary-aged pupils.
9. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
10. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
11. Flexibility and reliability for long-term supply roles.
12. Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, CACHE, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
13. A valid Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
