Napier Primary Academy is proud to be opening in September — a new Specialist Resource Provision for pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and speech, language and communication needs (SLCN).
We are seeking an exceptional and passionate teacher to take on the role of SRP Lead and play a key role in establishing this provision from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity to shape a high-quality, inclusive setting that enables pupils to thrive both within the provision and across the wider school.

We are looking for someone who is:
1. Has experience working with pupils with ASD and communication and language needs
2. Has a strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and EHCP processes
3. Demonstrates effective strategies to support speech, language and communication development
4. Can create structured and enabling environments for pupils with autism
5. Has leadership experience or the ambition and capacity to lead
6. Has high expectations for all pupils and a commitment to inclusive education
7. Is reflective, proactive and committed to ongoing professional development
As SRP Lead Teacher, you will:
8. Lead the development and day-to-day running of
9. Design and deliver a personalised, adapted curriculum with a strong focus on communication and language
10. Create a structured, nurturing and low-arousal learning environment for pupils with ASD
11. Ensure provision is aligned with EHCP outcomes and informed by best practice
12. Work collaboratively with the SENCO, SLT and external professionals, including Speech and Language Therapists
13. Model high-quality teaching and support staff development through coaching and CPD
14. Track pupil progress and evaluate the impact of provision
15. Build strong relationships with parents and carers
16. Support inclusion, independence and successful transitions for pupils
