B6 Community Mental Health Nurse
20.5 hours per week
Fixed Term for 6 months
To work as a member of the multi-disciplinary team providing Adult Community Mental Health Services for Newcastle clients and their families. The post holder will work flexible hours as required by the client group and team philosophy. The post holder will deputise for the Team Lead / Clinical Lead when required and undertake lead/senior roles within the Team.
Responsibilities
* Delivery of Mental Health services to specific individuals.
* Coordinating clinical activity, liaising with the Newcastle Adult Community Mental Health Team and other appropriate teams, services and agencies.
* Immediate problem solving and decision making and contributing to long term planning for future developments within the clinical area and service.
Other duties and expectations
* Maintain positive working relationships and liaison with other departments, agencies and bodies both internal and external to the Trust.
* Ensure that new policy legislation, recommendations and guidelines are effectively communicated, understood and integrated into daily practice.
* Maintain working practices that promote interagency and multidisciplinary working and ensure effective and accurate communication with inpatient facilities and the interface between inpatient and community care. Attend appropriate meetings to ensure the wider clinical team is engaged in clinical and developmental aspects of the area.
* Take responsibility for maintaining professional registration and personal and professional development in accordance with NMC, HCPC or Social Work England guidance; participate in mandatory training and development as agreed with the Team Manager.
