Apprentice Mechanical Engineer Location: Janome UK, Unit 1 Southside, Bredbury, Stockport, SK6 2SP Type: Full-time, Permanent Lomarton are currently supporting Janome UK to recruit an Apprentice Mechanical Engineer to join their technical team. This role is ideal for someone with a practical, hands-on mindset who is interested in mechanical engineering and fault finding. Full bespoke training will be provided due to the specialised nature of the industry. The Role You will be trained to: Diagnose, service and repair domestic sewing and embroidery machines Carry out mechanical fault-finding and basic electrical diagnostics Strip, rebuild and calibrate mechanical components Manufacture and machine small components where required Test and quality-check machines before return to customers Work closely with retailers and internal teams to support repairs and parts This is a workshop-based role with structured training and clear progression into a fully qualified mechanical technician.
