Master Builders Solutions, a leader in construction chemicals, is looking for a driven Laboratory Manager based at their concrete laboratory in Rochester, Kent. This role offers an exciting opportunity to play a crucial part in the analysis, development, and promotion of cutting-edge construction chemical technologies. Within this role, you will be responsible for: Conduct precise analysis of concrete and mortar using advanced techniques in our concrete laboratory, at customer’s production facilities, and on construction sites. Your work will directly support our Sales Team and the regional market unit. Oversee the laboratory team (currently two members), planning and prioritizing workloads to align with our technical support strategy. Work closely with customers and the sales team, providing expert advice on product selection and performance to ensure customer satisfaction. You will be able to identify customer expectations and work within statutory legislation, and internal standards. Ensure all analyses are completed on time, contributing to the development and promotion of new construction technologies to both internal and external stakeholders. Requirements Proven experience in a concrete testing laboratory or within the construction sector is essential. Prior managerial experience is highly desirable. Ideally a degree in a science or maths-related field. In-depth knowledge of concrete and a general understanding of construction materials is required. Strong communication and customer service skills, with a proactive approach to learning and problem-solving. A commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and a proactive approach to Health & Safety. Proficiency in MS Office and the ability to analyse and interpret data effectively.
