Dispute Resolution Solicitor/Legal Executive - Nottingham | Hybrid & Flexible working
An extremely well-established and highly regarded regional law firm, with offices across the East Midlands and Yorkshire regions, is seeking an experienced Solicitor or Legal Executive to join its Commercial Litigation/Dispute Resolution team in their central Nottingham office. You will manage a varied caseload covering the full spectrum of commercial and civil litigation, including shareholder and partnership matters, property and neighbour disputes, contract claims, professional negligence, intellectual property issues, contentious probate and debt recovery.
Working closely with experienced fee earners and colleagues across other practice areas, the role offers high-quality work and genuine client contact from day one.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Managing a varied caseload of commercial and civil litigation matters from instruction through to resolution
* Taking over and progressing existing files efficiently and proactively
* Advising clients on strategy, risk and potential outcomes in a clear, commercially focused manner
* Drafting pleadings, witness statements and settlement agreements
* Conducting negotiations and representing clients in mediations and hearings where appropriate
* Building and maintaining strong client relationships
* Supervising or supporting junior colleagues where required
* Contributing to business development and the continued growth of the department
Ideally you should have a minimum of five years’ PQE (or equivalent) in commercial and/or civil litigation and be confident working with minimal supervision.
