Science Technician – Castlebrae Community Campus
Salary £30,188 - £34,452 (pro‑rata for part time and sessional)
Hours: 22.5 per week over 3 days, 39 weeks sessional
Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our STEM faculty to support the teaching staff in the Science Department.
Responsibilities
* Ensure equipment is maintained and adequate levels of materials and equipment are available for use by teachers and students.
* Assist the teaching staff in demonstrating the use of equipment.
* Prepare materials, equipment and science areas for use by teachers and students.
* Assist in demonstrating the use of equipment and apparatus and coach junior staff in its usage.
* Design and construct equipment and apparatus for use in experiments.
* Maintain an adequate range of stock and efficient stock levels, including maintaining a stores system and completing purchase orders for approval by the Curriculum Leader in line with Council Purchasing procedures.
* Ensure stores are well organised and maintained.

Salary and Working Conditions
Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
