This is an exciting opportunity to join my client, an industry-leading, green-minded Multidisciplinary Consultancy, renowned for delivering their expertise throughout the engineering and environmental landscapes, delivering major, exciting projects across the UK. They are currently searching for a driven, knowledgeable Senior Hydrologist, willing to lead a high-performing team and deliver on an extensive range of projects, whilst contributing to Business Development (BD) activities. You will be based near the lively, diverse city of Birmingham.

Responsibilities for the role of Senior Hydrologist include:
Prepare Flood Risk Assessments (FRA), Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), and drainage assessment reports
Oversee aspects of project submissions, including tenders, quality assurance, etc.
Self-manage your involvement with a range of hydrology projects, ensuring work is completed to the highest of standards, to agreed timescales and budgets
Produce hydrological and hydraulic calculations
Liaise with key clients and stakeholders
Provide leadership to, and mentor, colleagues within the team, guiding them through their professional development
Required skills and experience for the role of Senior Hydrologist include:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Hydrology, Environmental Science, or a similar, relevant discipline
Considerable experience of working in a hydrological role, within a UK-based consultancy (or Local Authority) setting
High-level proficiency in the use of relevant software systems, including FEH, WINFAP, Flood Modeller, HEC-RAS, WinDES, and AutoCAD
Good communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and organisational skills
Technically-minded with excellent report-writing skills
Desirable skills and experience for the role of Senior Hydrologist include:
A higher qualification in a relevant discipline
Chartered Status with a relevant, recognised Professional Body, or actively pursuing this
Hold a full, valid UK Driving Licence
