Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, well‑structured Chemistry lessons for KS3 and KS4 pupils. Support students in making strong progress through clear explanations and responsive teaching. Use effective behaviour management strategies in line with the school’s high standards. Mark and assess students’ work regularly, providing constructive feedback to drive improvement. Contribute to curriculum development and departmental planning within the Science faculty. Promote and uphold the school’s values of respect, ambition, wellbeing, and academic excellence. Person Specification Essential Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Experience teaching Chemistry at KS4 level. Strong subject knowledge and the ability to explain scientific concepts clearly and confidently. Effective behaviour management skills and commitment to maintaining high classroom expectations. Enthusiasm for supporting young women to achieve highly in Science. Desirable Experience teaching in an all girls secondary school. Understanding of GCSE Chemistry exam specifications. Why Join This School?
