We are currently recruiting for a General Assistant to join our team at St Charles Hospital, London. This is a varied, hands-on role supporting the day-to-day operations of the hospital and ensuring a safe, clean, and efficient environment for patients, colleagues and visitors.
You will be part of a small, supportive team working across a rotational shift pattern, contributing to essential services within a busy healthcare setting.
1. 37.5 hours per week
2. Monday to Sunday rota
3. £29,338.00 per annum
4. 2 days off per week
5. 7.5-hour shifts
6. Rotational shifts across a 4-week rota, including varied start and finish times
7. Enhanced DBS is required for this role.
Key Responsibilities
8. Supporting general hospital operations
9. Assisting with portering and internal movements
10. Maintaining clean, safe, and organised environments
11. Responding to day-to-day operational needs
12. Working collaboratively with colleagues across departments
What We’re Looking For
13. Flexible and reliable with availability to work across a rota, including weekends
14. Ability to adapt to changing shift patterns
15. Experience in a general assistant, porter, cleaning, or support role (healthcare experience desirable but not essential)
16. Strong teamworking skills
17. A proactive and dependable approach
18. Comfortable working in a busy, patient-focused environment
