Swindon - AMHP - ADHOC - £40 Intro: An exciting opportunity for some experienced AMHPs to provide casual shifts on adhoc weekends and bank holidays where there are gaps in the out of hours rota. You will be available to complete routine and urgent work subject to the Mental Health Act (1983), as amended 2007. You will provide operational triage support for the service and working closely with the AMHP Lead and Emergency Duty Team to ensure the AMHP service delivers its statutory obligations. As AMHP Lead you will be responsible for your own daily duties including providing advice and consultation to multidisciplinary colleagues and partaking in Mental Health Act assessments You must be qualified as an Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) with evidence of your practice to support Approval (warranting). You must have an enhanced level knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1983 (2007), the Codes of Practice 2018, the Human Rights Act 1998 and other relevant legislation, such as the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and The Care Act 2014. You will be required to demonstrate skills in the ability to assess manage and work in situations which may involve risk and by extension using initiative to address safeguarding issues. You will have excellent communication and Leadership skills and you must demonstrate a track record for working collaboratively with individuals, families, and multi-disciplinary professionals.
