A vacancy has arisen for an experienced Senior Care Assistant able to demonstrate a genuine interest in caring for the elderly in our small and friendly care home:
Role:
* To oversee / maintain the care of all Service Users and achieve high standards in care in a professional manner
* To effectively supervise care staff, in conjunction with the Manager
* To delegate tasks, supervise and monitor care practice of all junior Staff
* To promote best practice in all aspects of care delivery
* Safely administer medication
Required:
* NVQ Level 2/3 Health and Social Care or working towards obtaining it
* Previous supervisory experience
* Keen eye to detail
* Always act with integrity and understand the importance of confidentiality
* Genuine interest and experience of working with the elderly
* Ability to communicate effectively with Service Users, Relatives and all grades of Staff in spoken and written English
* Satisfactory Enhanced DBS Check
* Two satisfactory written references
Desired:
* Previous experience and knowledge of working with people with dementia would be advantageous for this role
* To have the ability to work effectively within a Team environment
* Experience in administration and auditing of medication
* A clean Driving Licence
Own transport essential due to location. Day/Night shifts are available.
