Have you just completed your A Levels and looking for a career path, unsure what to do?
Due to expansion, additional Trainee Claims Handlers are required to develop a long term career within the motor claims department. Training is provided for the first two year’s with salary increments every 4 months to help you develop a career as a Claims Negotiator.
As a member of the Claims team you will be trained to investigate, negotiate and settle claims over a 2-year milestone training period.
You will be allocated a small number of claims to start building your own claims portfolio, which will include claims involving Credit Hire and non-serious Personal Injury.
A performance review, including a salary rise, will be awarded every 4 months for the duration of the milestone training period. The salary rise is performance related.
Key Responsibilities of the Trainee Claims Handler
1. Ensure that allocated claims are fully investigated.
2. Communicate with policyholders, solicitors and others by telephone and in writing.
3. Maintain accurate estimates on outstanding claims so the appropriate reserve can be made for each claim.
4. Work within the team to ensure that all claims are settled within appropriate time scales.
5. Work flexibly within the team, assisting colleagues wherever pressure is greatest to enhance overall team performance.
6. The role is primarily office based.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience needed by the Trainee Claims Handler
7. Experience of working in an Office Environment
8. Experience of providing excellent customer service
9. Willing to learn
10. 5 GCSE passes or equivalent (grades 4-9 / A-C), including English Language & Literature, and Mathematics
11. A level qualifications, preferably in Maths, English or Business
