Bank Medical Receptionist – Welby Practice, Bottesford, NG13 0AN
Flexible, ad hoc hours | Monday to Friday | 08:00–18:30
Have you previously worked as a GP Medical Receptionist and stepped away from the sector — perhaps due to retirement, caring responsibilities, or a change in circumstances — but would love the opportunity to return in a flexible, supportive way? This could be the perfect role for you.
The Welby Practice is seeking an experienced GP Medical Receptionist to join our bank team, providing short-term cover during periods of staff illness, annual leave, or particularly busy times. There is no obligation to commit to set days; we'll simply contact you when cover is needed, and you can choose what works for you.
This role is ideal if you enjoy patient-facing work, value flexibility, and would like to ease back into general practice without the pressure of a permanent contract.
The role will involve:
* Providing reception cover during busy periods and staff absences
* Welcoming and supporting patients at the front desk
* Booking and managing appointments
* Handling telephone and face-to-face enquiries
* Supporting the practice team with day-to-day reception duties
We'd love to hear from you if you:
* Have previous experience as a GP Medical Receptionist
* Are comfortable using clinical systems (SystmOne experience desirable)
* Are friendly, calm, and confident in a patient-facing role
* Would like a flexible opportunity to return to general practice
* Can travel to our sites at Bottesford, Harlaxton or Waltham-on-the-Wolds
All offers are subject to a satisfactory DBS check.
What's in It for You?
We believe in looking after our team as well as they look after our patients. Here's what you can expect:
* NHS Pension Scheme: Contributions of up to 23.7%.
* Sick Pay Scheme & Bereavement leave
* Free Parking
* Generous Annual Leave: 36 days (inclusive of bank holidays).
* Supportive Work Environment: Join a dedicated, passionate team in a workplace that feels like family.
