A well-led primary school in Lewisham is seeking a thoughtful and skilled SEN TA to join the SEND team from January 2026. The SEN TA will support pupils with a range of additional needs, deliver evidence-informed programmes, adapt resources and help implement behaviour and sensory strategies. This SEN TA post in Lewisham will begin January 2026, with induction and handover arranged before January 2026.

The SEN TA will work closely with the SENCo to review progress, contribute to EHCP monitoring where appropriate and assist with multi-agency communication. The successful SEN TA will bring patience, resilience and a practical approach to enabling access to learning across Lewisham.
Responsibilities
* Provide targeted one-to-one and small-group support that addresses individual learning targets.
* Run intervention programmes, record outcomes and help evaluate effectiveness.
* Adapt materials, support sensory regulation strategies and assist with personal care when required.
* Support pupils’ social and emotional development and promote positive behaviour across Lewisham.
* Contribute to transition planning and attend review meetings as needed.
Person specification
* Practical experience working with pupils with SEND and confidence delivering structured interventions as a SEN TA.
* Empathetic, organised and able to work effectively with staff, families and external professionals in Lewisham.
* Able to start January 2026 and to attend induction and training scheduled before January 2026.
