Quality Engineer
Location: Burnley
Hours: Monday- Thursday 7am-5pm
(4 Day Working Week)
Salary: £40,000-£44,000
About the Role
My Client who is a leading manufacturer within their field is looking for an experienced Quality Engineer with strong experience in APQP and PPAP to join their growing team. This is a key role within the organisation, supporting new product introduction, supplier development, and continuous improvement across their programmes.
You’ll work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to ensure products meet the highest standards of safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance.
Quality Engineer
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support APQP activities throughout the product lifecycle, from concept to production.
Prepare, review, and approve PPAP documentation, ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
Drive root-cause analysis and implement robust corrective actions using tools such as 8D, FMEA, and SPC.
Collaborate with suppliers to ensure quality standards are met and maintained.
Analyse quality performance data and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Champion best practices in quality engineering and contribute to a culture of operational excellence.
Quality Engineer Requirements
Degree in Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience in a similarly regulated industry.
Strong working knowledge of APQP, PPAP, and other core quality tools.
Familiarity with ISO requirements.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to quality challenges.
Confident communicator able to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders.
Detail-oriented, organised, and committed to delivering high-quality outcomes.
