A successful primary in Newham is seeking a reflective and energetic Year 5 Teacher to take up post from January 2026. The Year 5 Teacher will plan and deliver sequenced units that develop pupils’ critical thinking, writing stamina and mathematical reasoning. Responsibilities Plan and teach sequenced Year 5 lessons that deepen subject knowledge and application. Lead targeted small-group tuition and evaluate impact to adapt provision. Work with colleagues on moderation and cross-curricular enrichment across Newham. Communicate progress to parents and support wider school events and transition work. Maintain accurate records of attainment and contribute to phase development. Person specification Qualified teacher with proven upper-KS2 experience and evidence of Year 5 impact.
