We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Production scheduler to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in optimizing production efficiency, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining an optimal balance between demand and supply. This position requires a keen understanding of manufacturing processes, good customer relations experience, and effective communication to coordinate various elements of the production workflow.

Key Objectives:

We produce a wide range of products, sub-assemblies and assemblies in both small to large sized batches. We have an opportunity for a Production Scheduler to work with our Demand Manager to estimate price, plan, organize all production operations, ensuring that goods are produced efficiently, on time, within budget and to high quality standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Gather information on production times, material costs and resource requirements to produce a price estimate with the use of an MRP system

Providing quotes to customers from off-plan drawings / specifications

Managing customer orders and updating the system with order requirements

Plan a production schedule, for the build and delivery of customer orders,

Review and adjust the schedule where needed, ensuring all effected departments are aware of any changes or delays and implement and control the production schedule.

Attend meetings with Engineering, Purchasing and Production Departments and other stakeholders to ensure customer expectations are managed and fulfilled.

Determine the human and material resources required, including machinery and tooling to meet the production schedule.

Support production record keeping, use of build sheets, stock control methods, production instructions etc.

Ensure any changes to Bill of Materials needed are carried out within manufacturing software, including labour times for building of parts & communicate changes with the wider team.

Prepare and maintain production reports to manage day to day operations and monitor KPI's.

Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance production efficiency and reduce costs.

Background & Experience:

Proven experience as a Production Scheduler or similar role

Proficiency in using scheduling software or MRP systems

Excellent decision maker

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Highly experienced in Excel

Critical thinking and problem solving skills
